City Car Drive
City Car Drive is a free driving simulator you play in the browser, with no download, where an industrial city is handed to you with no timer, no traffic fines and no objective except to explore it and find something to jump off. Pick a car, get out on foot when you want, and use the nitro when the road opens up.
The first few minutes
There is no tutorial and nothing is chasing you. You start beside a car, get in, and the city is yours: excavated ground, heavy machinery and the blunt look of a place built around factories rather than around people. Drive for a minute without a plan and you will find the thing the game is really about, which is the ramps. Somebody built this map for jumps, not for commuting, and the first time you take one at full nitro the game stops being a driving simulator and becomes a playground.
The main idea
City Car Drive is a sandbox, so the fun comes from goals you set yourself. Land a jump between two roofs. Cross the map without touching a wall. Find every ramp. Get on top of the tallest structure you can reach. The F key is what makes the world feel bigger than the car: you can leave the vehicle and walk. That matters, because it lets you scout a jump on foot before you attempt it, and it turns the map from a road network into a place.
Controls
Driving is on WASD, and the nitro is what separates a failed jump from a landed one, so keep some in reserve for the approach. F gets you in and out of the car. P pauses the game. O opens the spawn menu, where you choose which car you are driving, which is the setting people most often miss on their first session.
Mistakes everyone makes
Using the nitro on the ramp instead of before it. Speed has to be there when you leave the ground, and hitting the boost mid-air does nothing for the jump you have already committed to. The other one is ignoring the O menu for half an hour and assuming the starting car is the only one. Different cars weigh differently and land differently, and a heavier car that survives a bad landing is more useful than a fast one that flips.
When it gets harder
The city has no difficulty curve, so the difficulty is whatever you choose to attempt. Bridges and ramps are placed so that a clean run needs a specific line and a specific speed, and the gap between almost and exactly is small. Once the easy jumps feel routine, the game becomes about repeatable landings: the same approach, the same gear, the same boost point, over and over until it works.

FAQ
- Do I need to download anything?
- No. City Car Drive runs in the browser and starts when you press play.
- Can I get out of the car?
- Yes, the F key does it. Walking around is useful for scouting a jump before you take it.
- How do I change cars?
- Press O for the spawn menu and pick another one from there.
- Is there a goal or a mission?
- No. It is an open city with no timer and no objective. The fun is in the jumps and the exploring.
- Does it work on a phone?
- It is made for keyboard controls, so a computer works far better.
